Peoria is home to the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners during spring training where you can watch players get ready for the season at the Peoria Sports Complex located in the P83 District. The Peoria Sports Complex was voted the second best spring training ballpark in Arizona by USA Today in 2017. The P83 Entertainment District also features a variety of shopping, dining, and other entertainment.

Lake Pleasant Regional Park has two marinas and is a great place for boating, fishing, camping, kayaking, and hiking. Lake Pleasant is the second largest lake in Arizona and is one of the top destinations for outdoor recreation in the area.
Peoria offers countless nearby hiking and biking trails in both the desert and mountain landscape. Some of the mountains close to Peoria include Sunrise Mountain, West Wing Mountain, East Wing Mountain, Calderwood Butte, Cholla Mountain, White Peak, Hieroglyphic Mountains, and Twin Buttes.
The city of Peoria also offers numerous parks and three swimming pools (Sunrise Pool, Centennial Pool, and Peoria Pool).
